Overview

Wondermayank is the brand and online identity of an independent Indian developer and content creator, known online as Mayank, based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. Since 2018, Wondermayank has built and released free, browser-based utility tools and educational platforms, most of which are single-file HTML/CSS/JavaScript applications hosted on GitHub Pages.^[1] The name is also used as an umbrella for a wider ecosystem of sub-brands spanning education, comedy, gaming, and technology content.

The two flagship properties under the Wondermayank umbrella are the Wondermayank tools hub itself and ThunderStudy, a companion platform aimed at Indian competitive-exam aspirants preparing for exams such as CUET, JEE/NEET, SSC, Banking, CAT, and CLAT.^[2]

History

Development under the Wondermayank name traces back to 2018, beginning with small, self-contained web tools (finder-style utilities, culture and reference sites) published on GitHub Pages.^[1] Over time, the project grew into a broader hub of over 800 tools hosted at wondermayank.github.io, alongside a separate, purpose-built exam-preparation platform, ThunderStudy, hosted primarily at commercesehoga.github.io and its associated custom domains.^[3]

The ecosystem has since expanded to include AI-powered study tools, a computer-based mock test (CBT) engine reporting more than 100,000 monthly mock-test views, a network of Telegram bots and channels, and a multi-channel YouTube and Instagram presence.^[3][4]

ThunderStudy (exam-prep platform)

ThunderStudy is the education-focused sub-brand of the ecosystem, targeting students preparing for major Indian competitive examinations. It offers subject dashboards (CUET, JEE/NEET, Banking, SSC, CLAT, CAT, NDA, English, GAT, and General Studies), a computer-based test (CBT) engine with section-locking and per-section analytics, gamified progress systems (XP/HP/RP with leaderboards), and AI-assisted study tools including an AI mock-test generator, a "Formula Story Mode," and an AI mind-map tool.^[7][8] A companion Telegram bot, @Thunderstudy_helper_bot, indexes Class 11–12 study material with full-text search.^[9]

Projects across the ecosystem are predominantly built with vanilla JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, often as single-file applications suited to static hosting on GitHub Pages.^[10] Backend and platform infrastructure draws on Firebase (Authentication and Firestore), Vercel serverless functions, Google Apps Script, Cloudflare (DNS, Workers, D1, KV), the Groq API, the Anthropic Claude API, and Pollinations AI for generative features, with jsPDF and Chart.js used for document export and data visualization respectively.^[10]
